COPUS at the Top of the Mark - 999 California St., SF, CA
TUESDAY, APRIL 5th - 6:30-8:30pm
Poetry/jazz ensemble COPUS will be performing at the swanky Top of the Mark as part of the "Celebrating the Beats" series again this year for National Poetry Month. The Beat Museum, in partnership with the Intercontinental Mark Hopkins, brings back legendary poets to riff alongside powerful jazz musicians for the second annual series of Celebrating the Beats at Top of the Mark.
COPUS promises a glorious night to remember featuring poet/spoken word artist Royal Kent, composer/pianist Wendy Loomis, flutist Monica Williams, bassist Patrick Mahon, drummer Greg McRay, along with guest artists saxophonist Jerry Woo and conga player Omar Clark Taylor. Wow - what a roster!
Please join us for specialty drinks and tapas and enjoy the view, the ambience, and the power of spoken word with music. Please note that the Top of the Mark does not take reservations, so we suggest getting there early! FREE ADMISSION.
COPUS' recently-released CD "Aspects" will be for sale at the show or get it here
